DICU (Digital Inverter Control Unit)

All the converter’s control and protection functions are performed by the DICU.

The DICU is based on programmed digital technology and represents the most modern and most reliable state of the art (using microprocessors, ASIC’s and fibre optics). All the plant-related data are stored as parameters in a non volatile digital memory. There is no hardware of any kind requiring calibration, e.g. potentiometers, resistors or capacitors.

Functions such as internal self-checking and external remote diagnosis by modem (internet) are included. Communication with higher-level control systems such as PRODAPT^®-MD computers or displays takes place via optical cables that are completely insensitive to interferences.
