In the first three months of this year, ABP Induction Systems turned in the best quarter results since the company was founded in 2005. The company sold 42 furnaces with a total performance of 81 megawatts throughout the world in just twelve weeks; 6 furnaces were sold in Asia with a total of 6 MW, 11 furnaces in Europe with 22 MW and 25 furnaces in South America with 53 MW. The orders (most for complete plants) came from Brazil, China, France, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and Belarus.
The absolute top seller in the first quarter of 2010 was the medium-frequency induction crucible furnace FS60, which celebrated its premiere at the GIFA 2007 exhibition. Of the 42 sold in the first quarter, 16 were the energy efficient 6t FS60 furnaces.
Dr. Wolfgang Andree, the managing director of ABP, knows why this type of furnace is successful: "Under the name ABP Induction Systems, we have been able to persuade our customers throughout the world with our outstanding engineering for more than five years now. The FS60, in particular, is an exceptionally energy-efficient system with a long service life. Our customers appreciate that. Technical support over the long term and the fast local service are important components for the success of our customers and thus for ourselves too."
